Vocational opportunities

We are proud to offer a company owned workshop, where residents are able to learn pre-vocational and vocational skills in order to prepare them for competitive community employment.

Our residents are encouraged to seek out vocational opportunities depending on interests and skill set, supported by clinical documentation and various career inventories and assessments.

Our vocational services provides employment training to adults with varying disabilities. The goal of our program is to assist our resident workers in learning industry-based skills that will allow them to become a productive member of the workforce and obtain competitive community employment.

Resident workers and employers are matched based on the employer’s need and the resident’s vocational assessment, individual abilities, and career interests. Our program offers in-house tasks and community based employment.

Services are available during the hours of 8 am-3pm Monday through Friday. All resident workers are accompanied by a training Job Coach.

Residents who express interest in working in the community are referred to Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD). OOD is the State of Ohio agency that partners with Ohioans with disabilities to achieve quality employment and independence. Additionally, OOD works to pair up residents of our facilities with meaningful work, a job coach, and on-going training efforts to ensure residents feel fully supported in their new opportunity.
